Ed Natan

In the City or in nature or with other themes, I capture the feeling, the energy where every watercolor brushstroke counts!

Feel the City.

Fast, noisy, dissonant, surprising, sublime.

Natan paints the feeling of Denver from a pedestrian’s perspective of the city. He sets up his easel on sidewalks and street corners, catching the movement, the energy, and interaction of it all.

A longtime resident of Denver, Natan began creating artwork highlighting Denver’s central neighborhoods in the 1980’s with collage being his primary medium of choice. Quickly moving to watercolor, the neighborhood we now know as Uptown, utilized one of his paintings to help revitalize this part of the city and turn it into what we know and love today.

His paintings hang in many private homes and collections, and have been displayed at the Denver Art Museum gift shop, the Aspen Music Festival, and are archived at The Western History Collection of the Denver Public Library.
